Ineke van Lier

Ineke is a journalist and writer. As a journalist, she interviews people with a special story, but Ineke herself is full of special stories as well. She has always had, for example, a particular bond with animals. Her first book - published independently - was about a dog who supports prisoners, and the book she wrote for Arcos is about a dog who helps children with reading problems. Her love for animals is tangible on each page of her stories, and her books elicit tenderness, joy and emotion.

Ineke also works as an animal interpreter: she helps people communicate with their pets, and to learn from what their pet conveys to them.
